Four mechanics, four questions instead of a ranking
A list of offers tells you what the operator currently advertises. It does not tell you how those offers differ for the player who has to use them. So the comparison here is built on questions that can be put to every mechanic the same way.
The first question is when the funds land in the account, before play or after it. The second asks which side carries the uncertainty at the moment the player accepts the offer. The third, how tightly an offer ties play to one section of the casino. The fourth, how far the outcome can be estimated in advance.
There are four mechanics: Slots Bonus, Instant Bonus, Live Casino Bonus and Cashback. Each is taken through all four axes, so they read within one frame instead of four different marketing descriptions.
Nowhere in the text will you find a ranking or a recommendation. The axes describe properties, not quality, and the same property can be an advantage for one player and an obstacle for another.
Numbers such as the wagering multiple, the deadline or the bet ceiling belong to an individual campaign, so they are not stated here as fact.
First axis: funds before the play or after it
The first axis splits the four into two unequal groups. Slots Bonus, Instant Bonus and Live Casino Bonus all add funds before play begins. Cashback works the other way round: it arises from rounds already played and reaches the account only once the tracked period closes.
The difference is not only one of timing. In the first group the player enters the game with a larger balance than the one he sent in, and from the first bet he moves inside a regime the rules of the offer keep watching. With a rebate he plays with his own funds the whole time, and the bonus logic only switches on at the end.
Instant Bonus stands slightly apart within the first group, because there is almost no gap between the entry step and the crediting. How that mechanic runs is covered by the text on instant bonus.
The time axis also has a practical consequence. Mechanics in the first group are worth studying before a deposit; rebate terms can be read later, as the basis of the calculation does not change in the meantime.
Second axis: which side carries the uncertainty
The second axis asks who is carrying the uncertainty of the outcome at a given moment. The answer is never black and white, because gambling is uncertain for both sides, but the weight clearly shifts between the mechanics.
With a deposit top-up the player commits first: he sends his own funds, accepts the requirement, and only then finds out whether he can play the turnover through. The operator meanwhile holds the bonus part, which becomes transferable only once the rules have been met.
Cashback moves part of that load back. The operator undertakes to return 15% of a negative result, so it softens a slice of the loss the player would otherwise carry alone. This is not budget protection, only partial relief, and the remaining eighty-five percent stays exactly where it was.
Live Casino Bonus sits between the two poles. Tables have their own pace and a narrower margin, so the player enters the commitment in advance but plays more slowly and has more room to decide. The table side is covered by the text on live casino bonus.
Third axis: how tightly an offer holds play in one section
The third axis is about the space in which a bonus can be used. Some mechanics are named after a section and the name settles the matter; others leave wider room to manoeuvre.
Slots Bonus has the machines in its name, so its terms revolve around spins, the contribution of individual titles and the ceiling per round. A player who does not play slots takes nothing from such an offer, however large it is; the detail sits in the text on slots bonus.
Live Casino Bonus ties play to tables with a live dealer. Besides the section, permitted bet types are handled here too, because at a table it is technically easy to cover opposite outcomes and sidestep the point of wagering.
Instant Bonus tends to be tied to fast games where a single round lasts seconds. The tie is sectional too, it just shows differently: not through the choice of title, but through the pace at which turnover builds.
Cashback is the loosest of the four. It is calculated from the result of play and does not shut the player into one section, although its rules, too, define what counts towards the basis and what does not.
Fourth axis: how far the outcome can be estimated up front
The fourth axis is the most practical one for budgeting. It asks whether the player can say, at least roughly, how an offer will turn out before he activates it.
With a deposit top-up the answer is vague. The player knows the requirement, the turnover he has to play through, but not how much will be left along the way. Two sessions with the same bonus and the same bet end differently, because the course of play is random.
Cashback is the opposite case. The rate is fixed and the basis of the calculation is given, so once the result of the period is known the rebate can be worked out to the euro. What stays uncertain is the result of play, not the mechanics of the return.
Illustrative example (these are not Dukat.bet terms — check them in the official rules): a net loss of 200 EUR over the tracked period corresponds to a rebate of 30 EUR at fifteen percent. The same procedure holds for any other amount; only the input numbers change.
Instant Bonus is predictable in the crediting and unpredictable in the playing out. You know when the funds will arrive; you do not know how far they will take you.
Turning an offer into an expected value is covered by the separate text on real bonus value.
The big table: the four mechanics in five columns
The table puts all four mechanics into one frame. The columns match the axes above, and the last adds the sentence to look up in the rules.
| Mechanic | When the funds appear | Tie to a section | Who enters the uncertainty first | Predictability of the amount | Sentence to look up in the rules |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Slots Bonus | before play, after a deposit | fixed, slot machines | the player, before the first spin | low, depends on the run of play | the basis on which turnover is counted |
| Live Casino Bonus | before play, after a deposit | fixed, dealer tables | the player, at a slower decision pace | low, depends on the run of play | permitted bet types at the table |
| Instant Bonus | right after the entry step | medium, fast games | the player, with almost no delay | crediting yes, playing out no | the order in which funds are drawn |
| Cashback 15% | once the period closes | loose, across the game | the operator softens part of the loss | high once the result is known | the amount the rebate is counted from |
The table deliberately carries no multiples, deadlines or ceilings. Those values belong to a particular campaign and their valid wording sits with the operator alone.
One rule helps when reading the rows: the columns combine. A mechanic with a fixed tie and low predictability is not worse, it is only harder to plan around.
Fitting a mechanic to your own style of play
The close of this page is not a recommendation but a procedure. The axes can be turned around and held up against your own play instead of against the offer.
The first question is about frequency: do you play regularly, or once in a while? With regular play a rebate has something to arise from; with a single session a month the basis tends to be small. The second question is about time: how many hours you can realistically give the game within the period the terms set out.
The third question concerns the section. If you sit at the tables and slots leave you cold, an offer tied to spins will not make the game more enjoyable, however it is worded. The fourth is about your relationship with rules: some people are bothered by tracking progress as they go, others take it as part of the game.
The answers narrow the choice faster than comparing percentages does. The rebate mechanic on its own is covered by the text on cashback.
The last step is always the same. Open the official terms of the particular campaign and check the numbers this page deliberately leaves out. The wording changes over time, and the current version decides.
